what price did you pay in CDN $ to TSX?

Hi again...

I have not purchased my TSX yet. but i was wondering for those Canadians living in Ontario.. what was the final price paid by you guys in Ontario for your TSX (stock) Automatic Transmission?

I believe it is an 8% markup on the MSRP...any suggestions as to what I should be negotiating for?

I'm going to try for $39-$40K.

any help would be appreciated..

thanks,

I'd say 39k on the road should do it for a non nav AT. 38 K for an 6MT.

Have a look here fo invoice pricing info.

Does the dealership matter?

anybody know which dealership in toronto would be able to give me a good deal on the ACura tsx?

I went to the MArkham dealer and i thought they were trying to rip me off..sales must be too good there...

can anyone tell me which dealership to go to for a good price? (one where they will not try to rip me off?)

thanks,

Try Acura 2000 in Brampton. I also hear good things about Sherway in Mississauga.

acura TSX

Just bought a TSX from Acura 2000 (auto, no navi) in Brampton through a salesman named Frank. Nice guy, enthusiastic. Dealer mark-up is 8% or about $2 900. Lots of room to work with. $1 000 above dealer cost is a good goal I think.

nice price, i bet it was a 2004. 2004 auto and manual cost the same. 2005 auto is extra $1200 and a slight price increase for 2005 so you'll never see that price for a 2005.

P.S. please state which province your in also when quoting out the door prices because we all know taxes are different from province to province.

so just to clarify...is that $37,500 in Brampton after taxes for AT for '05 TSX?

the way i calculate it, it's $33,212 (8% off of $36,100 ) and then add freight $1,400 and taxes (15%) and the price is already $39803.80 and I haven't even included the dealer's profit on the deal...

so how are you guys getting it for $37K on an 2005 TSX . AT, non navi?

like i said, it's probably a 2004. minus $1200 for auto (because there was no price difference in 2004 between auto and manual) and - yearly increase (not sure how much that is. probably $800 or so).

For toronto, the price you have, $39803 is pretty good.

Per Cost Cost Canada website, for 05 TSX Auto, Non navi, the dealer invoice is $34,512 (including $1400 Freight/PDI) versus list price of $37,500 ($36,100 + $1200 Auto +$1400 Freight/PDI)

15% tax on top of dealer invoice = $34,512 x 1.15 = $39,688.

This does not allow any dealer profit on top of the dealer invoice. I do not think you will find dealers selling 05 TSX's at invoice pricing, so paying less than $40,000 out the door is not likely.

CCC offer was $1500 over dealer invoice.

oh ya... forget to mention I live in Alberta. I purchased a brand new 2005 TSX Auto with no-Navi for $37500 after taxes. I'm happy I don't have to pay for PST.

Here is what I did. I got the cost price from Car Cost Canada for a brand new 2005 TSX auto, no navi which was $33 212. A leasing company was offering $1500 above cost so 34 712. I figured I could do better since end of season and slightly redesigned one is supposedly coming for 2006. So I told the guy to sell it me for $33 712 and we agreed on $34 100 as the cost before taxes. So I saved about $2 000. Hope that helps. In Ontario.

That's a nice deal weirdg

Markup the 2005 TSX is 7.5%. That is for the 2005 6MT, should be similiar if not the same for the AT.

So do you need to pay the PDI, freight...? if not, you already save another $1400.

Yeah you still have to pay Frieght and PDI of $1400. That is a fixed cost to the dealer to get the car to the showroom. So I saved the $2 000 compared to what the MSRP was of $36 100.

one thing to take into consideration..it's now end of year ...basically if i buy tsx today..it will be 1 yr old and i haven't even driven it yet. therefore...i should not have to pay the same price as someone who bought it in January '05 or in late '04 for that matter.

the only thing that has dropped has been the APR%..but someone could have paid cash for the car and still got the same price as what i get today...thus

i think there should be some room for some additional discounting..with it being year end and with the '06's coming out...demand i think would drop until the '06's come in in Oct timeframe...plus there is left over '05 inventory that dealers want to remove off of their lots.

so i think advantage me.

I got mine end of June: '05, MT for $38550 on the road with grad rebate. W/O, it was $39300 flat. Now that the changes for '06 have been announced, you can prolly get '05 AT for just about 40k flat, no?

Make sure you have permission from Acura Canada to post here. I had a friend who use to work for Acura post int he RSX forums and was asked to stop from his company....same with Infinity. Don't wanna see you lose your job.

Good luck.

P.s. can yo get discounts on accesories?

Oh ya... I also got the $750 grad rebate. In the end i'm paying $36750 after tax for a brand new 2005 TSX with Auto no-Navi. Helps that I live in Alberta too. When I picked up the car there was only 14KM on it. Since the purchase i've added a few extras.
