What is maximum tire pressure for Stock TSX tires?

What is maximum tire pressure for Stock TSX tires?
Hey everyone:


I have a 2005 TSX with the stock Michellins leased in Florida ( I don't know if US and canadian models are different).

I want to increase my miles per gallon.

The car instructions give a recommended tire pressure of 32 psi for the front tires and 30 for the back tires.

I think this is kind of low.

I have several questions:

1) Can I safely inflate, while the tires are cold, to 35 to 37 PSI the front and back tires?

2) How would this affect the handling characteristics of the car?

3) How would my gas mileage be affected?

All responses would be much appreciated.

35-37PSI is okay, handling will remain great, and your mpg should be somewhat better.

You might experience a slight stiffer ride with higher pressure but nothing intolerable.

i would put more pressure in the front than the rear. i think i went 3 psi above recommended so thats 35 33, a lil better gas milege i would say

I noticed my tire pressure was 34 front and 32 back right from the dealer. I guess they over inflate the tires in case the car sits on the lot a while......but these cars sell like hot cakes!!
