what do you guyz think of the exterior of the TSX?
Everyone agrees that the TSX interior is incredibly well done and looks great, but after owning my car for about 4 months now, I feel that the exterior of the car is a little too bland, especially the front. I would like to see Acura be a little more daring in their designs. I just wanted to know what all of you guyz think after driving this car for a while now. Don't get me wrong. I still love my car and how it drives. But every now and then I kind of wish the TSX was a bit more flashy. What do you guyz think?

yeah...for the most part, i do agree with you. i think the oem body kits makes up for the lack in exterior design. that's why i got them..it seems like it makes it a little more "flashy"....except for the back. that i'm still iffy on.
but i do love that when i took my car to be washed last time, the people doing the work kept saying "nice car" even with all the mercedes, bmw, lexus, etc. that were there.

Honestly mine's grown on me ('04 TSX / Silver/Ebony), esp. the back half of the car. It looks better in person than in photos. It's not a knockout, but I like it. I like it better than the Audi A4, but maybe not quite as much as the BMW 3xx. Better than the Infiniti G35 sedan, but not the coupe.
Definitely it's the interior that scores the major points, though.

The interior and driving experience is what sold me. I went to the dealership to drive an RSX because they look so hot. (I've had a black on as my wallpaper since last May!) Once I got in and drove it, I was SO disappointed. I was looking for a move up from my '90 Accord Coupe and the RSX was NOT it.
I had seen one TSX before and was not really that impressed..... kind of put off by the 4 doors. Then I drove one and it was no comparison. I agree with the post above that underbody kit helps make the outside more stylish.

I have to agree with u on this. I still like the exterior look of my Mazda6 better than TSX. But the interior of our TSX rocks.
The best looking exterior part of my TSX is the tail IMO. The mirror and the headlight is a plus.

The more and more I see the TSX around town, I can't help but be reminded of the Integra. I loved the Integra's looks as it aged, and the TSX seems like a good candidate for the same.
Junkster, who saw someone in Denver with TSX with a clubRSX licence frame.

yup, i felt the exterior was a little bland as well...but i feel that way about my prelude and almost every other non-sporty car out there...oem kits are my way to enhance the exterior (eg. i feel the mazda6 is bland w/o sport package)

I've had mine for a little over 5 months, and I was looking at them since April. I love it's subtle understatedness and think it will age gracefully. I love the exterior more and more each day. Combine that with the fact that I still rarely see one on the road and it makes me feel even better.

I LUHVVV the looks of my car. But I like cars with classic, understated styling. The neat thing about the TSX is, you can get part or all of a factory body kit if you want more pizzazz.

I love the exterior of my NHB TSX! I think that the TSX is not as photogenic as many other cars, so it looks much more impressive in real life. Moreover, the overall design of the car has this understated elegance and emphasis on details that are not easily appreciated from a photo. I think that NHB is one color that particularly suits the TSX (though other colors are beautiful too, such as Milano Red, CG and MSM etc.)
My favorite area has to be the rear end. I love how simple and effective it is. It has this really European feel to it. The side profile of the car is nice too - you may say that it is generic and bland, but if you look carefully, Acura (or Honda! LOL) has carefully sculpted the side profile with a lot of details (e.g. the use of the chrome trim and the side mirrors etc.) so it looks upscale. The front though, is probably the weakest part - I think that Acura needs to find itself a more assertive and distinctive grill than this over-used pentagonal shape. Also, the front end looks rather Japanese while the other profiles look pretty Italian (think Alfa Romeo).
I think that Honda/Acura is one of the rare Japanese brands that have succeeded in creating a fairly consistent brand style and character, though it still has some ways to go, when compared to European brands like Audi and BMW that clearly has a continuing theme with each and every new model. If you buy a luxury car, you don't want to look dated by a radically new model that comes out every 6 years, do you? That's the problem with most Japanese car makers.

I love the looks of my tsx but one thing to take into consideration is that say you own your car for 5 years and say 5 years from now the design wont be out dated like some of these new cars that are out that in a year the trend will be over its a good classsic design. my .02

all i can say is that i love the back rearend of the tsx we all have with the dual exhausts and the bmw 3 series and last gen A4 look, but the front still reminds me of a honda seriously. i still see the "ghost" of my 99 6th gen Accord in the front a little bit. You're right I wish honda/acura would be more daring in their designs like nissan/infiniti are doing. i wish i could have the front of the G35 and the back of our Tsx and then, it would be one bad**s car!!

i rated the car's design a 9 when i first purchased it, but now it dropped to a mid-6. i guess the more we drive/see this car, the more the the "design" diminishes in our eyes.
