What did you pay for your TSX?
I'm going to be getting a car within the next few months and am curious what TSX owners have paid for their cars. So, what'd you pay BEFORE tax, title, registration?

I live in Los Angeles where the dealerships are pretty competitive. Altho some wanted sticker, several were willing to take $400-600 off MSRP. Some teased to discount more but wouldn't quote over the phone (and I didn't want to drive all over town, plus many dealers were out of stock anyways).
Another thing to consider, if you're getting dealer add-ons (I got the wing spoiler), ask for prices. Each dealer quotes differently--some at cost and some with small, med or large markups. (Plus each dealer's "cost" varies).
If you don't have any direct referrals, check out sites like autoweb.com, or if you're a Costco or AAA members, they offer fleet referrals.
Good luck!

Must admit, I pretty much paid sticker. Got them to throw in trunk mat, all season floor mats, and the splash guards. Probably my own fault for not trying to bargain too hard, I really wanted the car. Plus I was more worried about how much they would give me for my trade in (2000 Honda Prelude). All in all, I don't think about it too much now, I'm happy with the car I got.

I am pretty jazzed, I got a real good deal. $27,290 with Navi ($1700 off sticker). I got this at Bob Howard Acura in Oklahoma City.
For a no-haggle good deal, go to Gunn Acura in San Antonio, and their standard price is $1000 below MSRP, no negotiations.
Its really a regional thing, as price is directly proportional to popularity in the region. That's why I was able to get such a good price in Oklahoma.
Love my car! No regrets!

OU fan--
I am a military person stationed in San Antonio, and I knew I could get the car for $27,990 here at Gunn. I am originally from Tulsa (Union HS class of 1990!) I dropped by Don Carlton in Tulsa but they didn't have what I wanted (white or red AT/navi) and nothing coming in. We were driving thru OKC (on our way home) and I just stopped by Bob Howard Acura and the place was dead! I dealt with Tom and Chris there. I told them what I was looking for and if they could beat the $1k below MSRP, we would buy the car. They had a white one coming later that week, and offerred it to me for $1200 below MSRP, and I negotiated an additional $500 off that (to compensate that I would have to fly back from Texas at a later date to pick up the car). They agreed ($1700 off total). While we were financing (I got 3% 60 mos), Tom returned to tell us the car would get there earlier than expected, and we could pick it up 2 days later. We did, and there was no need for that extra trip from TX (yes, we still got the $1700 off). They do have a bogus ADP (?) fee of $149, which seemed non-negotiable. I didn't care, seeing as we got such a great deal.
I also know of another Texan who negotiated with Bob Howard and got about $1600 off on a car they had to dealer trade to get (mine was already on the truck--easy for the dealer). He hasn't picked it up yet, and he dealt with them totally over the phone. Anyway, you should be able to wheel and deal with them in OKC, knowing that you can get at least $1600-$1700 off. Know what you want before you go. I bet Don Carlton will try to compete as well.
Good luck. E-mail me with questions--jcampod@hotmail.com

You Texans get all the deals. I paid $1000 off MSRP here in Chicagoland and I got a smokin' deal for the area. Also got accessories at dealer cost and great trade-in value.

Thanks for all the great info jcampod! FWIW, Don Carlton only has red, white, and black ones now-and I unfortunately haven't been able to see any other colors in person, but am going to Bob Howard on my way back to Tulsa Sunday to check it out. By the way, did your friend get the navi or non? I think I'll go for the navi, but was wondering if they would deal the same with the non's.

We both got Navi. But from what I can tell from other dealers, they will probably discount similar amounts. The Navi seems to be a non-negotiable $2k more.
Good luck--last time I was at Bob Howard they had a blue, black, and satin silver. It was the white one at Don Carlton that made me choose white over red (I saw them side by side).
Ask for Tom when you go to OKC. Good luck, and keep me posted!

2004 TSX NAV 5AT MSM
I assume you folks aren't including tax and fees? In that case my TSX (which was on the lot) with NAVI, wheel locks, trunk tray, cargo net, all season mats and mud guards was $28,080. Add doc, title fees and tax and it was $30, 672.

$500 under MSRP. The closest to retail I've ever paid for a car, which was a little humbling, but it doesn't seem like a lot of people are getting much better deals. This dealer had the exact car I wanted en route -- only had to wait 3 days.

I just finalized the deal today and going to pick it up tomorrow after work, whoo hoo! They gave me 2 good deals to choose from. $25,600 for a black/black 6spd no Navi. but had to wait a month for delivery. Then they gave me a better deal on one that was sitting on the lot. Black w/ parchment 6spd w/ Navi for $26,850. So what do you guys think? Is that a good deal or what? : - )

MzTSX--Either is a pretty good deal! Most people pay much closer to MSRP. You should definitely go for it!
Not sure if you like the parchment interior (most people on this board don't), but I love mine. Either choice will look hot. Also love the navi.
Actually, I will be jealous if you get the one with navi for $26,850--thats $400 less than I paid for mine, and I thought I had the "record low" deal from these boards. GREAT JOB! GET THE NAVI/PARCHMENT!

hey guys.. i think the only reason why they gave me a good deal on the black on parch w/ navi was that it was on the lot and the color combo wasn't what i had my heart set on.. but after driving it home last night i think i will learn to love it. The navi w/ voice recognition is awesome. after just a day of owning it i don't think i will be able to live without it. hehe

If they give you a TSX with navi for $2,000 off MSRP and no add on's they are making $1,392.
If you are a sucker and get charged dealer fee's. Then they make more. That is pure profit for them. Don't fall for it.
I wouldn't settle for anything less than 2k off sticker. period.

(from edmunds.com):
MSRP $28490
Invoice $25967
Profit $2523
3% holdback (more "profit"): $854
You miscalculated the profit. The holdback is 3% of MSRP, not the total price with destination charges.
Anyway, while demand is so high, why should the dealer sacrifice $2000 in profit? Maybe when the 2004 TL arrives, it will "steal" sales from the TSX and you might see more negotiation on TSX pricing.

Let me apologize for FLNSX.
I own an NSX and almost all owners are not asses like this one
appears to be.
He has no right to come on someone elses forum and smear them!
I've been working the TSX market and haven't even got a dealer
off MSRP yet so.... Still working at it though.

With all of the add-ons when you buy, plus my trade-in as a down payment, my out the door was right around the same figure. I financed for 5 years with a 3.79% APR.

Roadrunner
Roadrunner,
That was an EXTREMELY RUDE response. I can tell that you are a youngin!
I do own a 2000 Red/Tan NSX-T.
Now tell us what year your NSX is? With that rude attitude I bet it's a 91. There is no way you would be able to afford anything more that a $22,000 NSX with your interpersonal skills.
I do own a TSX. I drive it daily. I DID get 2k off sticker and I DIDNT pay dealer fee's.
Sorry if you all are jealous and bad negotiators
Come on down to South Florida and I will show you my cars and YOU can buy ME LUNCH!
See you on Prime.

Wow this is sad! Not to start flames but I follow the Prime
boards rules and the exotic car code of conduct posted on
NSXPrime. FLNSX, maybe you should read them sometime...
Thank's though for making your true colors obvious.
Again TSX owners, this is not a typical owner and I apoligize
for his lack of tact.
