A way to disable pass airbag?

My wife would like to put the child seat in the front, without endangering the kid's life due to airbag deployment. I understand that some cars allow you to disable the passenger side airbag. Can this be done in the TSX?

i think that is for cars that dont have a backseat. it does monitor if someone is in the passenger seat so I wonder if a car seat would be light enough not to engage it.

Isn't there a switch in the glovebox that disables it? I thought you needed to turn it off before changing the interior air filter which is buried in the dash somewhere. But I could be totally

One of the features of the TSX is the latch system for attaching rear seats into the back. I would think that'd be a safer solution. But maybe not if your kid is going to throw up on your TSX and you can't get to them.

I think I remember reading in the manual about how to disable the front passanger airbag. You may want to give that a read.
BTW, xizor, congrats on your 1000th post.

I believe there's a sensor in the pass seat that automatically disables the airbag if the passenger is under a certain weight.
