wanting inspection

I've just gotten my 06 TSX w/ 27000 mi... i was wondering if acura does one of those 120 point inspections, and how much do they normally go for? Why I ask is because I dont think the car is running as smoothly as it should, or it might just be me.

well, if you buy it at Acura it should be a CPO car.
Certified Pre-Owned.

and yes, they do do one of those however many point inspections and make
sure it passes each one of them.

and for that year and mileage, and in CPO condition, plan on paying a minimum of $19-20k
from what I am seeing right now.

no, no. just for the car.

so are you asking if you buy some random used acura if the dealership will inspect it
for you? that I don't know. I know for sure they will not warranty it or anything like that.
and I really doubt dealerships inspect private or other dealships cars.

if it's just a used private owner or whatever I'd take it to an independent mechanic.

edit:
okay, I just re-read your original post.
so you bought a used TSX already.

now you want a local acura dealership to inspect it...?
not likely.
where did you buy it from?
and if it was indeed from an acura dealership, is it a CPO car?
do you have a warranty?

The TSX doesn't have a great turning radius. I sometimes turn right slightly to angle myself for a u-turn. My first car could practically do a u-turn on itself.

As for shaking while it's idling, does the tachometer move around? You might have a vacuum problem.

i don't think any dealer will inspect your car, for free anyway. looks like you'll have to make an appointment with a trusted shop or your local dealer for service.

fyi, i've come to learn that CPO means diddly squat. all its good for is an additional year of warranty service *from the time it originally went out the showroom* regardless of when you buy the car. most inspections are visual at best, the mechanics do a test drive and voila! its certified pre-owned...

amen to that. i got a 09 TL w/tech package as a loaner and it can clear turns i know my tsx can't!

but i'd rather have the tsx handling and feel rather than the TL's super absorbant super numb feeling super soft ride...

Your car is still under factory warranty regardless if you got it used. You should bring it to the dealership and explain to them what your problems are. They should charge you for it.
