Disables the stability assist. It would be akin to drving a car without the VSA functionality. I believe it also disables the traction control which is what keeps your front tires from spinning during straight line acceleration.

You must disable the VSA manually each time you start the car.

Disabling VSA does not disable ABS.

I find the VSA to not be intrusive. It has a rather high threshold before it kicks in. Allows you to have some fun without getting bit in the a$$ on inclement days.

Sounds like your question is more about "What is VSA"?

VSA is vehicle stability assist. This includes yaw control and traction control. Traction control will detect your drive wheels spinning and will cut power to them as needed to avoid this spinning. Yaw control will detect understeer or oversteer and apply brakes to the appropriate wheels to correct things.

When VSA comes on the VSA light will flash on your dash.

VSA tolerance on the TSX is fairly high, so it wont come in right away. So yes if you turn off vsa you will be able to spin your tires more.

There have been lots of good threads on VSA , so you might want to try a search for more info. There is also information in your owners manual.

Agreed, ESP (electronic stability programming) on my TT is much more intrusive, but is also very very effective and will save your ass if you happen to come up on a dead deer, in the middle of the road, while traveling at ~70 MPH on the interstate, in the middle of the night, half asleep, with only one clear lane to make your move once (~30 yards from disaster) you realize it's time to change lanes...

Where was I... Oh yeah, in my TT it is so intrusive that the car will actually bog down to the point of almost stalling if you launch hard with it turned on. Once you are in motion it is far less intrusive.
