Thumbs down Visit to Acura dealer

Today I visited my Acura dealer and am unsatisfied.

I had a creaking sound coming from the shift plate, so they took apart the console area in order to get under it to line it with insulation tape. The creak seems to be gone, however:

-They left a tiny miniscule scratch at the top of the shift plate.
-They forgot to clip in the emergency break leather cover underneath. (Anyone know
how I can do this myself?)

Also I brought it in because my steering wheel was shaky and vibrating at highway speeds. This is intermittent and is only every other day. The service paper says that they balanced tires (does this require for the tires to come off?).

-There is a scratch on one of my wheels which I am 90% sure wasn't there before.
Would a wheel balance procedure allow for any scratches like this to occur if the
tech isn’t careful?
-The shaking and vibrating occurred on my ride home after I picked it up. Anyone
have suggestions?

Lastly, they also dirtied up the interior of my vehicle. When I got home, I parked it in the garage and detailed the interior. Half way through I turn on the engine, and give it a little gas. Immediately after hitting the pedal, I hear a *POP* noise coming from the engine compartment. Anyone have any idea what this might be? It is scaring the crap out of me.

Anyone have comments? :'( :'(

Bitch to the dealer.. Although your comments certainly don't inspire confidence. Fountain right?

....I think I'm doomed no matter where I take mine.

you should call acura directly, then your local dealership will be contacted and they will do whatever needed to please you and fix your problems. Acura gives dealerships incentives, so if the dealership is not dealing well with customers their incentives will dissappear. Call ACURA and tell them all the things that are wrong after going to the dealership.

This is why I'm afraid of sending my car to the dealer for warranty repairs. I guess I'm gonna wait until the 5-year is up and then send it in unless something warrants immediate repair.
