The VIN will not directly tell you the manufacturer date, only the numeric value of the car for that model years run.

I am not sure about the TSX, but some cars will have the month on the vehicle information label typically located on the drivers door.

Month and year are usually stated on the inside door jam stick...My Accord was made FEB 00. Haven't checked the TSX yet.

You won't get any more detailed date than your door jamb month unless you can hack into Honda factory computers.

just found another bit of info;

the last six digits on VIN are the manufaturing sequence, so may be higher the number (last six digits, more recent it will be)

I've had a non-public tour of the Anna Engine plant, typical of any mfg. for Honda. They know the hour with which each engine part was assembled and by whome.

So with the VIN they know everything about your car, even the engine build date which may not be the same since they are built hours to days ahead of the car.

But someone knows when your car, to the hour easy, rolled off the line...but I think month and year is plenty for me

Our TSX was built 04/2004, which makes sense, it was titled in the end of May to the dealer as a demo...it likely took a few weeks to cross the ocean so our date makes sense. So even if you get your car the day it hits the lot, it was likely made a month before.
