Vaulted to the top of their respective vehicle segments
An article Redesigned autos well-received, satisfaction study shows in the Detroit News (www.detnews.com) mentions the success of both redesigned and all-new models.
To quote one very VERY interesting paragraph that mentions the TSX:
Several all-new models vaulted to the top of their respective vehicle segments. They include the Mercury Marauder (full-size car), Acura TSX (entry luxury car), BMW Z4 (premium sports car), Subaru Baja (compact pickup), Honda Element (entry sport utility vehicle) and Nissan Murano (midsize SUV.)
The article also mentions the top five and bottom five nameplates for appeal.
Detnews.com has interesting foreign and dometic auto-industry news.

Great get, Brad!
This was another one of those J.D. Power surveys. Here's what it was:
"The study gathered responses during the first 90 days of ownership from 102,975 new vehicle owners on their likes and dislikes.
They were asked to judge attributes such as exterior styling, engine and transmission performance, comfort and convenience and braking."
TSX actually came in #1 in the "Entry Luxury" category!!!
Admittedly there are lots of categories, and so there were lots of cars that were #1 ("most appealing") in one category or another. But of course there were a lot of cars that didn't come in first, too.
Here's the complete list of #1 cars:
Compact car: Mini Cooper
Entry Midsize car: (Tie) Volkswagen Jetta and Hyundai Sonata
Premium Midsize car: Nissan Maxima (2004 model)
Full-Size car: Mercury Marauder
Entry Luxury car: Acura TSX (2004 model)
Mid Luxury car: Lexus GS 300/GS 430
Premium Luxury car: Lexus LS 430
Sporty car: Volkswagen GTI
Premium Sports car: BMW Z4
Compact pickup: Subaru Baja
Full-size pickup: Cadillac Escalade EXT
Entry SUV: Honda Element
Midsize SUV: Nissan Murano
Full-size SUV: Ford Excursion
Luxury SUV: Lexus RX 330 (2004 model)
Compact Van: Toyota Sienna (2004 model)
Full-size Van: GMC Savana

here it is on CNN as well:

I knew someone else would beat me to it!
They also mention the Mazda6 as the most improved car (over the 626, that is).
