Understanding the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act
A must-read for all TSX owners... especially if you intend on putting any aftermarket parts in, on or around your car.
Federal Trade Commission
There is undoubtedly bountiful caselaw relating to this specific piece of legislation which I will be more than happy to go fishing for... next week after finals.
Apparently the most important part of the Act is that relating to the prohibition of "Tie-In Sales Provisions". Meaning that they can't force you to use Acura parts in the TSX in order to keep the warranty in force. Or can they? The answer to this question lies in the language of the warranty itself. Anyone care to post a link to the text of the warranty?
