TSXs going fast in Dallas-Fort Worth
I just made a round of calls to four local dealerships and they told me about only five total TSXes on their lots. Two of them are with underbody kits and rear wing spoilers, which I don't care about, and that leaves three. One of them is a Navi, which I don't care about, and they quoted me $27,200 in their email (I sent the email to all four dealers). Another one is a PWP non-navi, (I don't care about PWP much, either), and they used it as a showroom/test-drive model, so it has cca 150 miles on it - they want $25,200 for that one.
Finally, there's a black one in a dealership whose online inventory shows they have more in stock, even though they said they only have this one and one of those with the body kit. They initially offered me MSRP on it (27K, non-navi), but when I laughed, they invited me to a test-driving/arm-twisting session, which I will go to later this evening.
Now, here's my question - have I waited too long? TSX seems to be a hot enough car that the dealers don't have to be in a rush to get rid of them before the 2005s arrive. Essentially, that eliminates any leverage a buyer may have. Consequently, if I can get the black one to about $25.5 and not a penny more, and provided that the internet inventory is incorrect, that may be the way to go. Thoughts?

Well, the dealers will bend in your favor if you think about it. They want to get rid of all the 04's, and dont want to have any left on the lot, so i def say go with the offer you plan on giving. persoanally, i think anything over 26.5 for an end of the year 04 is to much.

Well, I just took ownership of the Black one, parchment interior, 5AT, non-navi, for 25.5. My leverage was the white one for 25.2 in another dealership which is about 50 miles away (Plano, as opposed to Vandergriff Acura in Arlington, where I got the black). The truth is, the Plano dealer used the white one as a showroom model, and it had 150 miles on it. So, I got one with only 10.6 miles on the odometer, in a closer dealership, in a color I liked more, for only $300 more. Edmund quotes the TMV as 25.8, so I think I did ok. I had them go down from 27 to 26.5 to 25.9 to 25.6 and finally to 25.5. It was quite fun.
So....
EDIT: I did see a red NSX....
