Buick is still FUGLY!

I dont care if you told me Yugo all of a sudden was back on the market and the most reliable car out there, still ugly and I still wouldn't touch it.

But definitely good to know. Sad to see Honda is up there and Acura a lot lower.

Maybe I should have got a Lexus ??

Boring factor of Buicks offsets everything IMO.

Anyway, it's been already said and is pretty conceivable how Buick owners would be a lot less picky about their cars and would tend to notice problems with their cars because they really don't give a shit about it: as long as it brings them from point A to B.

Reliability... Who in their right mind keeps their GM cars for longer than the warranty will go anyways?

LOL, Buick's are indeed boring. I mean what kind of car uses golf (a rather mundane game that was capriciously gleaned for relaxation) to market a car...LMFAOROFL

CAWG (Cackling Aloud With Gusto) the boat comparison is great.

I love this argument.

I guess Lexus owners aren't picky at all then? I mean, we can all agree that Lexus builds the most reliable car on the planet and most surveys support that. But when Buick does nearly as well on those same surveys suddenly others factors are at play......Doesn't add up, sorry.

I have more faith in my Rendezvous then I do in the TSX. I guess time will tell.

I would never argue about Lexus reliability. I have no difficulty imagining they're on top of the food chain in the reliability department.

What's to Lexus credit is that they probably have as many enthusiasts as customers as Acura does, maybe even more and they still are #1. I have to give it to them that it's impressive.

Buick? Enthusiasts?

Besides, you're comparing Buick with Lexus. Isn't that just as laughable? Numbers can say anything.

I'm not comparing anything. JD did all the comparing The numbers show that Buick is more reliable than Acura. Now wheather those numbers are valid But if everyone can argue that Lexus is reliable based off those surveys than I'll argue that Buick is reliable based off those same surveys.

There are no numbers or facts available to support your theory that Buick driver's don't report problems so its not a valid argument, its a guess. I've had more problems with my TSX than I can shake a stick at yet I didn't return my JD survey.

Obviously no numbers. But it doesn't take a genius to reach those conclusions either.

One could go by deduction based on other data like the average age of Buick owners. I mean, at age 65, do you really think they all still hear those rattles? And hear the brakes squeal? Do you actually think they'll drive hard enough to warp the rotors?

I know we can't assume on how much Buick owners care about their cars. But it would be pretty to believe they are comparable to Acura or Lexus drivers.

What do you think the average age of Lexus LS and ES owners is ? I bet its closer to 65 than it is to 30.

Far too many assumptions in your theory. From what I can tell older people tend to complain about things ALOT more than younger people do. In the end we'll never know for certain. But I at least have some facts and statitics to back up my arguments while you have being a fanboy as yours

I'll let you know in a few years which is more reliable. That is of course if I decide to keep the POS TSX

Okay, but how about the IS, GS, GX, RX, SC and what else models?

Anyways, I give it to you, there's no numbers and any assumption is a high risk of being wrong.

I just have a hard time believing Buick in particular would fare so well while the rest of GM is way

So do I, but its not what the numbers show. And from what I hear GM engines and trannies (6 cylinder and I stress 6 cylinder) are reliable. Its everything else that has some problems.

Sauce, the only Lexus I can think that may attract mostly younger buyers is the IS. The SC? I'd be shocked if anyone under 70 bought that car. The GS may have a nice mix but the 64 year old president of Canon drives one so......

I think no matter old guy or young guy, if they go for Lexus which meant they are already afraid of the unlimited problems from the German Big Three. And the one who choose Buick, will be already settle with what American Big Three theroy: If anything goes wrong, it is your fault.

I've figured it out guys, I know why Buick is on top of that rather overused chart. It's simple, it says problem per a hunderd vehicles, buick doesn't make 100 vehicles a year;nevertheless, BUTT FUKING BUICK owns the pants off of the MDeggz

You are correct. Anyways, I must have missed the part where you said you bought the Rendez-Vous, was that long ago?

The TSX appeals because of its availability in my favorite color, white, but then again, the Buick is also available in white, too. Plus, the Buick is more comforting to look at; the TSX sometimes scares me.

I was wondering if you TSX owners have any experience you can share concerning how comfortable the back seat of the TSX is for people like my grandparents or their parents? I really like the waddling, floating feeling going over bumps, you know the slow and peaceful rocking motion as if you were encased in forty feet of pillows wrapped in cotton swabs. I am afraid that the TSX will send unpleasant road sensations; I hate being reminded that I'm driving or in a car or something distasteful like that.

Also, my friends say the TSX isn't as good as the Buick. They all have sensible cars like Buick Centurys, Mercury Marquis, or Pagini Zondas (did I spell that last one right ... those crazy Peruvians and their last names ...). They reminded me that I can't get OnStar in the TSX, so really bad accidents will happen to me, like if I fall down in the living room and can't reach the phone and no one will come and turn Lawrence Welk on for me.

Anyway, please let me know soon, as I am planning on this purchase any day now since I heard of the "employee discounts' GM is having. Also, I am thinking of getting a Scamp or Roundabout, like my good friend, Bernice.

I have been out of circulation for a few weeks, so I am trying to catch-up. When I saw the subject line for this thread it was obvious it was a joke. I think this is the funniest post I have ever read on this forum. It sums up everything I hate about Buick.

How the hell can the engineers and stylists for Buick feel any pride in their work.
