TSX vs. Buick Century
I am having a hard time choosing between a TSX and a Buick Century for my next new car. They are both sedans, have engines, steering wheels, and are for sale on my planet. The TSX appeals because of its availability in my favorite color, white, but then again, the Buick is also available in white, too. Plus, the Buick is more comforting to look at; the TSX sometimes scares me.
I was wondering if you TSX owners have any experience you can share concerning how comfortable the back seat of the TSX is for people like my grandparents or their parents? I really like the waddling, floating feeling going over bumps, you know the slow and peaceful rocking motion as if you were encased in forty feet of pillows wrapped in cotton swabs. I am afraid that the TSX will send unpleasant road sensations; I hate being reminded that I'm driving or in a car or something distasteful like that.
Also, my friends say the TSX isn't as good as the Buick. They all have sensible cars like Buick Centurys, Mercury Marquis, or Pagini Zondas (did I spell that last one right ... those crazy Peruvians and their last names ...). They reminded me that I can't get OnStar in the TSX, so really bad accidents will happen to me, like if I fall down in the living room and can't reach the phone and no one will come and turn Lawrence Welk on for me.
Anyway, please let me know soon, as I am planning on this purchase any day now since I heard of the "employee discounts' GM is having. Also, I am thinking of getting a Scamp or Roundabout, like my good friend, Bernice.

They are two totally different cars built for 2 entirely different purposes. The TSX is more of a luxury sports sedan with really sharp handling and fuel efficiency.
The Buick on the otherhand is made to be comfortable period. Sort of like a boat. It sounds like you want the boat since you are worried a lot about the ride. Have you test driven a TSX yet? I recommend you go drive one. It's actually got a quite comfortable ride. If you dont like it, you can always swap out shocks.
But it sounds like the buick is more towards your needs.

Dude, guys (and gals), lighten up!
nagidizy is quite a character on this board and has been around a while, for those who hasn't seen his previous posts. Even though most of the time I could not figure out if he is being serious or just pulling people's legs, I always enjoy his creativities in the stuff he posted.

lol im amazed at how serious the first replie to this thread was haha...but nagidizy is making a point here...a lot of ppl seem to ask rather dumb questions regarding which car is better, the TSX or ____? the only way to find out is the test drive and then compare them. it really comes down to personal preference, and as this is a TSX-focused forum, i think we all know which car is the better...otherwise we wouldnt have gotten the TSX have we?

"BEST" cars comparison of the Century (yes, pun intended ) .... NOT!!!
nagidizy, if you are really serious about the hard time choosing between these two cars, you should definitely go with the Buick. Coz it seems pretty clear that you don't understand the type of car that TSX is
And for the record, I don't find cars with floaty suspension comfortable at all. They actually give me motion sickness BIG TIME! If I want to feel floaty like on a boat, I will go on a boat, period.

Great bit of satire. It does get tiresome to see the "TSX Not As Roomy As My Three Season Porch" again and again, and this is (I think) a roast of posts in that general vein. Don't get me wrong, I love my car (and I usually just say "like" about a car) and enjoy installing mods and reading about others' cars/mods/ideas/questions on this site.
But please, most everyone on this site owns a TSX. We all know that it doesn't out-accelerate a McLaren F1 but is easier on gas. No need to compare them in a 5,000-word post. And, no, it will not run the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds if you install a Hondata heatshield and a Comptech rear sway. (Although those are both great mods.)

I am incredulous, speechless, and in general amazed.
" ... and for sale on my planet." That alone didn't perhaps, just one, tiny bit, clue in the clue-deficient that this was just maybe ... humor? A statement? A way of making a point, and adding a bit of larf? Whoa-baby.
Oh no, pards, I'm *really* trying to decide between the TSX and the Century. Jeez Louise, if I laid it on any thicker you could set bricks in it.
I heretofore duly promise to boldly emblazon all dubious postings with CAUTION and various other eye-catching indicators of forthcoming mirth and parody. At least for another sentence or two ...
And, fellers, please hep me out. I been a'tryin' to haul my horse in the back of my TSX and been gittin' a problem with road apple build-up. Know anyone what makes a shovel with an Acura logo on it?
