TSX vs. Accord?

Help me out! I am considering buying a TSX (AT w/ navi). I like the styling and amenities. But the Accord EX V-6 (AT w/ navi) is almost exactly the same price, has more room, a smoother engine and a TON more horsepower and torque. OTOH, the Accord's styling is more bland, sound system isn't quite as nice, etc.

Still, I'm having a tough time deciding. Did any of you face a similar decision? What swayed you to the TSX? I especially want to know if you feel the AT cars have enough "grunt" on the highway in passing situations? Does that slick sportshift AT transmission help make up for the lack of power?

If the TSX had the Accord's V6 I'd buy it in a heartbeat. As is, I'm having a very hard time deciding.

Thanks for your input!

We decided to go with the TSX mainly from a money standpoint. The TSX has better resale value, the 5AT has better fuel economy (the 6MT TSX has slightly better economy in the city, assuming you're talking about the V6 Accord. You'd have to be if you're talking about better hp in the Honda), and the TSX has a better warranty. Plus, EVERYONE around here has an Accord. We wanted something more orginal and different.

Even though the sticker prices may be similar, in my zip code the carsdirect.com price for the Accord EX-L V6 is $2090 LESS THAN the TSX!

...so the beating continues!

Closing this thread. Nothing personal acoga, you just picked the most commonly asked question on A-TSX for your first post.

If you don't find an answer that works for you, try bumping one of the old threads here: http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/sear...searchid=41052
