TSX and San Francisco Hills??

Hey,

This message is especially for the San Fran TSX'ers.

I am considering a TSX. How well does the TSX auto accelerate and handle the hills in the SF bay area? Is it underpowered?

How does it handle the hills with 4 people in the car?

Thanx

Recently drove through the city with 4 people in my 05 AT TSX. No problems at all with power. Very smooth acceleration between gears and didn't even want to use the manual feature.

I've taken two road trips from san diego to San francisco with my girlfriend and had no issues motoring around the city. The grade logic control does a good job of keeping you in an appropriate gear for power.

Was in SF last year for the weekend and no trouble getting up or down any of the hills with my 5AT.

I live in SF and the TSX does great there! Beyond the power, having the TSX's relatively stiff suspension (at least compared to my last car) makes a big difference as well. There are often flat sections where side streets cross the big hills, and if I took them with any speed it was pretty easy to bottom out on my last car... No problems whatsoever for the TSX.

The 'Burgh has some pretty mean slopes as well, and the TSX handles them like a dream. Only thing I do is that, with my 5AT, is manually shift to a lower gear going uphill, so I get more revs and power uphill....which I find kind of fun, actually!

I am living in SF. I drive my TSX about 80miles per day. Run great no problem

The handling is pretty good. For the acceleration, I am not satisfy. I am not saying TSX is slow, but just not as I expect.

I just test drive the TL 05 and the RL 05 today, they have better power but doesn't feels like 270hp or 300hp.

I would say TSX should be one of the best inline 4 engine.

Go for a test drive, see for yourself.
