TSX ranked 9th in edmunds.com resale test
edmunds.com came out with its 2004 rankings and such. I haven't seen this posted just yet. If it is a repost, shell out at me all you want . TSX placed 9th for best resale rate (that's basically what this discusses. Suprised to see the S2000 and NSX at 3rd, and even more to see the 911 at 1st.

All of those numbers are 5 year assumptions, based on past trends. Sometimes those trends don't pan out and certain MY of certain cars have better or worse numbers than the trend.

Nevermind those, the Acura RSX is ranked above the TL and TSX...

From personal experience, I can say this. Fromt a DEALER, I was able to get out what I had into the car after just one year. That's normally unheard of. I bought the car for $27,000, and owed $21,300 14 months later. I sold the car for $21,000.

I like the unique way they make the TSX #9 on the list. Usually when there is a tie you skip over the next number(s). i.e. 1st place, two way tie for second, then 4th place.

It is really misleading to say the TSX was "ranked" 9th (and it is misleading for Edmunds to call this a top "10" list of cars). There are 33 cars ranked higher than the TSX in resale value, not 8.
To use a baseball analogy, if one guy is batting .350, ten guys are batting .340, and one guy is batting .330, you wouldn't say the guy batting .330 is "third" in the league in hitting. He's 12th. Likewise, the TSX is not 9th. It is tied for 34th.
Anyway, it's still a fine showing by the TSX. Just not as good as it sounds at first.
