Photos posted on this site testify to that. The JDM Accord has the same dash layout as the NA Accord.

Not a big deal, but this, and a few of tweeks under the skin amount to more than just re-badging.

Does the JDM/Euro Accord have the same sway bars (Not sure, but I don't think so...)?

THere are some slight differences
Safety -- According ot acura engineers during a chat before the tsx was release dthere are some additional door beams + bracing her in NA. Could be BS..dunno.

Suspension -- supposedly slightly firmer in NA. 17" wheels + tires. Higher ride height by about 1" in N.A.

Tranmission -- slightly more aggresive gear ratios in both the AT and MT.

Engine -- Significant improvement here. Only rated 13 horses and 5lb ft better in NA but the torque curve is vastly superior. Attached below is a picture of the torque curve from the euro accord S. Ramps up much higher in the rpm band and falls of much faster. True it's not a user dyno but looks vastly different even from acura's dyno here in the states.

acura mfr torque curve.

I disagree. The first comparison it was in, it beat a BMW 320 (among others). Don't forget, the 3-series and the A4 have a wide range of engines in Europe. We just get the high end in the US.

Unhappy I spent $30K on an Accord??

Well this is truely depressing. If the TSX is mearly a rebaged version of a European Accord, I spent too much. And yes it was really close to $30K, after taxes and fees. Who was so smart to bring this up anyway. Why does Europe have better made Hondas? Does anyone know what a high end (EX) Accord goes for over there?

Freak, you kidding man? Most of us knew this before we bought the car...there's hardly an article on the TSX from either before or after it's introduction that hasn't mentioned its origins. Europe gets better Honda Accords because they like their cars more nimble and less bloated. "EX" isn't a trim level over there. You still made out!

Because they care more about driving than we do. The Accord that we, in America, call an Accord is only sold here. It's a big fat version of the euro/japanese Accord (TSX) made especially for us big fat Americans.

Actually, they're going to release the US Accord over in Japan as a higher-end model. It'll be called the "Inspire", and it'll feature the interior from the TSX (the euro/jap Accord has the US Accord interior). Confused yet? Good. You still have nice car.

The Accord 2.4 Executive (closest match to the TSX 5AT w/ NAVI) runs 22,100 GBP or $37,450.

Happier?

So? The suspension of both Accords, the TSX, and TL are all closely related. That doesn't mean the cars are identical.

I was in Italy for 15 days and came back last week. I think I saw maybe 5 Hondas during the whole time, and they were not the Accord. Let me put it this way: a TSX, BMW 32x, Merc C, etc. are rather LARGE cars in Italy (heck, a VW Bug is actually on the large side). In fact, you'd have to be a little crazy to try and pilot anything larger on those roads and in those towns (except for Rome, perhaps). I loved Italy - I saw no more than 3 SUVs the whole time (Land Rovers)!! The Mini Cooper is the absolute perfect car for Italy. Never saw a Ferrari or other exotics unfortunately :-(

That is the way it was in Spain, with all those narrow medieval cities. I was there for a month over the summer, and probably saw only one or two Hondas the whole time.

But, in the UK, Honda is more common.
