TSX Navi voice......new ones?

I've got a 2004 TSX with Navi, and while I was showing off the voice command/response system to a couple of friends the other night, they asked if I could put in any other voices other than the stock male/female offered. Should be possible, has anyone looked into this? Does the 2005 or 2006 offer additional voices?

Yup you can have a robot voice, or an alien voice, but my favorite is the female voice that speaks in English with a French accent. To access these just hold down ctrl+alt+delete for 10 seconds.

What's red text?

If you conceptualize this to fruition you may find that it's not an impossiblity, but rather an improbability. My apologies for my lack of control in lampooning your assumptive statement.

The point is: Why should it be possible?

not to say that it wouldn't be fun for some to have that option.

If you want to have the ability to tweak and customize the way your Navi looks and behaves, as well as access to frequent map and POI updates, then you're better off getting a portable unit from Garmin or TomTom... in my opinion that is the way to go.

1) Only possible if you hack the heck out of the software. No one has done it yet.
2) additional voices =
What's red text?

I was being ironic because red denotes sarcasm, not emphasis or seriousness.

Actually, I only do that in threads that keep descending the dumb esclatator long after the original subject has been abandoned. If I PW a thread, it's because I'm not a mod. If I had been a mod, I would just have locked it instead.

I know Tom-Tom allows you to download different voices and such. I heard a rumor that Mr. T was going to be a new one they'll be releasing.

One of my buddies has got that with with the Mr. T voice. Now I wonder if it'll say, "Hey boy! You mighty cute in them jeans!!!"

Well, thanks for all of the fairly meaningless replies, and for hijacking my thread. As for why it should be possible, that would depend on how they synthesized the voice. I use to hack the Amiga's voice algorithms for S and G's, even got a fairly credible Marvin the Martian voice once (wasn't able to ever get a sexy female voice, sadly). If you notice on the voice selection screen, they have 6 or 8 selection options, although only the top two are filled in, that would suggest that the programmer/software originally allowed for more.
