TSX has more HP than an RSX?
I was just looking at the hondata dyno for the RSX type-s, and noticed that the peak whp was 160. TSX dynos have shown about 170 whp.
This is the only stock rsx dyno I have ever seen...so perhaps someone can enlighten me...is the 160 whp figure accurate? Or did hondata put up something to help their case.
And if this figure is accurate ... does it mean the TSX actually has 210 + hp, ... or maybe its tranny is just more effiecient??
hmm...
thoughts?
EDIT:
To add to this..i found a dyno for a prelude, which shows 163 whp stock.

TSX Stock Dyno. I think I see 176.x Its says "stock" at the top.
I think this dyno shows 168 WHP
This dyno is showing 175.6 against 182.3 with AEM CAI.
Most other ones show 180 or so with a CAI so I think we can safely presume 170 Stock.
We need the dynoman (TinkySD)
EDIT: fdl, no way that 160 figure can be accurate. There are 21 dyno runs over at ClubRSX showing a range from 182 to 186 with an Injen CAI, AEM CAI and AEM Short Ram. If we presume 10 HP for a CAI then stock RSX-S's are putting down an average of about 175 WHP, which is more than the TSX :'(

You can't directly compare dyno runs. There are just too many variables that can change from machine to machine. Unless both cars were run several times on the same dyno on the same day with an average being taken you can't compare the two with any accuracy.

There is also the possibility of the use of different types of dynos that gave these readings. There are differences in readings between runs on dynojet and dynapack apllications that usually are at around 10 hp on K-series engines.

I totally agree with the different varibles that can play down on a dyno on any vehical... but to back to the theory of the post, I think it is very arguable that the TSX could very well could be doing better than a RSX... even tho all of them are K series engine, don't over look that a RSX is a 2.0 and a TSX is a 2.4... with our Torque readings at 168ft/ compared to 142 on a Type S RSX... we got a couple more numbers to play by once the cars start reaching their potential speed spots. I believe on a Dyno the things that really matter are the engine, there are no weight variable and driver variable and such because the cars are running on berrings on the dyno.
but comparatively, I do believe our engines are much more capable of the speeds that FDL pointed out. I wouldn't be suprised if the TSX can run better.
