Most important - don't do anything that will tart up the interiors or screw around with the visual clarity of the exterior. Don't load it up with every electronic goodie in the world, unless those are options (I'm a complete gadget geek, but KISS is where this car oughta be at). This is a great and fun driver's car with some slight (very slight) shortcomings.................Don't fix what ain't broken.
If you follow what Detroit usually does, you can see them take a great car and tart it up, make it bigger, heavier, moremoremore, and - after three or four model changes of planned obsolescence, the car is this bloated obscene "thing" that is a mockery of the original (the original Ford Thunderbird that graudally became a luxo 4d sedan with sloppy styling, for example)
Good luck with the focus group

I'm only asking for a few improvments to the 04 TSX.
- The first and most important improvement would be to stop the ratlles. I know the service guys at my local dealer all too well.
- Heated side mirros for the US cars.
- The opening on the trunk needs to be 2 inches larger for me.
- Improved Overdrive. The 6 speed should get better hightway mileage than the automatic.
- Improved Acura customer service. I am more and more dissapointed with Acura service each time I call to find out what they are doing about the latest problem with my TSX.

Gonna put in my 2 cents, I'm probably at a variance from many of the people here, but then again, Acura probably views "enthusiasts" as only a small part of their audience so...
- Fix all the rattles. Unacceptable in a car that costs 1/3 less, and even more so in this vehicle.
- More power and torque would be nice, but I've got to admit that I'd seriously shy away from any vehicle that was much less efficient than this one is. With premium now at $2.70 around here, I'm not interested in much less. I didn't buy this car thinking it was a performance vehicle and really don't believe it's sold that way. (OK, I realized it was more performance oriented than an 4 cyl Accord, but that's about it.) If they choose to go for more power vs fuel efficiency they'll lose me. I avoided the better performing Audis, the IS300 and others precisely because I don't want an 18mpg monster in a compact car.
- An Aux input for the stereo. Don't worry about integrating every device known to man. You won't be able to, and you'll just be blindsided when some new audio gizmo comes along that somebody wants to use. Just do the same thing home stereo makers have been doing for years. A couple of neatly concealed RCA plugs and an "aux" setting on the head unit. Yeah, I know I can do it using the SNHOND3, but it would be nice if car manufacturers actually started accommodating people's needs to input all sorts of stuff, instead of forcing us into all sorts of backdoors (let alone FM modulation).
- External Nav/Sat/FM antenna, similar to the one on the TL. This would completely eliminate all issues related to tinting the rear window.
- Heated side mirrors
- Darker sunroof glass. Why Audi and BMW have dark glass but Honda/Acura uses such a light shade is a mystery to me. It's not like they have so many hot sunny places in Germany. I had to get mine tinted to bring it down to a level which didn't bake my skull on a sunny day.
- One-touch sunroof controls
- Ability to turn on foglights with parking lights, without requiring high beams. (Useful in some really foggy situations.
- Better tires.
- A more "standard" tire size. 225/45 and 205/50 are both far more common and would allow for many more tire options on the OEM wheels.
- 5-spoke wheels (more like the TL) as standard equipment. I just don't like the standard pattern.
- While we're at it. The website and brochure said something to the effect of "regular fuel may be used with reduced performance." It would be really nice if that were clearly the case. Truth is, 95% of the time I'm just tooling around LA not even coming close to the maximum power/torque this car can put out. It would be great if I could just put in regular, and reserve the "premium" experience for those longer high-speed roadtrips where it would make a real difference. (I realize that the existence of knock sensors and other controls in every modern engine means that you can safely do just this, as the engine will just adjust timing and thus cut power if knocking, detonation or preignition becomes a problem. Would just be nice if this was a company-blessed position and if the website/advertising material were consistent with the manual.)

It would be great and isn't impossible to add 20hp/20tq and shave off 50~150 lbs from curb weight, but then they would have to do the same for the RSX, TL, and RL to at least keep in level with the TSX.
For that reason, hell with the speed upgrade.
I hope they introduce the 06 with more color combinations, more optional rims, friendlier gears, and of course the hybrid version.

1. Fix rattles
2. Offer a metallic maroon color
3. Move sunroof controls to near the sunglass holder, and make it one-touch
4. Improve gearing on 6MT; specifically make the 1-2 ratios closer
5. Bump up HP/torque, but only if they make 6th gear taller to maintain good fuel economy
6. Make "not an ashtray" a more subtle color
7. 225/45/17 as standard tires, anything with better grip than the crappy OEM Michelins
8. Integrated keyfob. The VW 'switchblade' key is my favorite
