TSX Commercial
In the past year I haven't seen any commercials for the TSX on television I live in Chicago = 3rd largest market in the U.S. so you would think Acura would want to market the car in this region. They are killing me with ads for the TL and MDX. Anyone know why no commercials for the TSX? I know the TSX is a limited production car so maybe Acura doesn't think it is worth it to advertise??? I prefer to think the car sells itself Anyone in other parts of the country see commercials for our beloved TSX???

I've only seen the TSX commmercial a couple of times. Wish they played it little bit more often. But I guess thats a sign that Acura's marketing ploy isn't needed to move cars off the lot.

I believe japan had one last year Accord Euro R (TSX JDM). it was a cool commerical if I remembered. yeah I know the feeling...the CL-S lost its production after a 4 year point..... the 6spd accord took the CL's place just as the new Civic SI will be replacing the RSX-S later this year

I'm in NJ...I only saw this one commercial a handful of times....something about a cat chasing a dog I think...I don't really remember it too well. But I wish there were more commercials for the car!

I've seen two. One is a cat driving the TSX to chase a dog in some sort of European city. ...saying the TSX is quick.
Another one is a guy driving the TSX on a road that looks like a track of a roller coaster (up and down. up and down.) And the guy is being thrown up and down. ...saying the TSX is powerful.
Interestingly, none of the Acura ads here tries to say the brand is classy... like the Audi... MB... BMW... etc... if you know what I mean.
I am gussing what they want is to say is:
"if you are going to buy a average Joe's car, it is better to just buy a Acura."
I think...

the first year goal was actually only 15000 which they passed. i think they areon pace to sell something like 25000 2005 models.

Honda/Acura doesnt need that many because they know people will buy there car. How many times have you seen a American car commercial? A lot, because they want/need people to buy there cars.
You dont see many BMW, MB, Audi, etc commercials either. You dont see many, or none at all Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, etc commercials.
Think about it now.

That cat commercial, I just don't get it. That's about the only one I ever see, there's another I've seen a few times but don't remember it. Guess the cat one stands out for its sheer stupidity.

I wonder if it's just because the TSX is selling so well that Acura doesn't need to spend as much dough promoting it. I'd think the same would hold true for the TL, though.

I just saw my first TL commercial today. It was the TL doing circles in the desert in the pattern of a fingerprint. I have my eyes now open for a TSX commercial.
