Angry The TSX certainly has some European blood...

My navigation/audio/LED display is all messed up. The audio system is going completely haywire (the CD changer is making this crazy noise, trying to change CD's constantly), the LED display is flashing and blinking all the time, and the navigation voice prompt is not being given intermittently. There must be some mis-wiring going on. This poor thing is only 3 weeks old! The dealer service manager said that he has never heard of a similar problem, so I guess I just have to bring it in to have it looked at... and I thought that things like this only happen with a Saab, VW or Audi!!!

Wow, first time I've seen such a report for the TSX. Please keep us posted on what the cause might be.

No, you misunderstand... things that happen in Audi is something like the trannie just drops after 50 miles, or VW and their mystery engine/ignition failures, and my fave, old Saabs that have their turbos go kaput after a year... those are euro probs.

This possible wiring problem seems strange though. You must be pissed. Yell at the dealer, see if they give you something for free.

Junkster, whose old Audi had a mystery clicking noise when it passed 60 mph.

The difference is that this kind of stuff happens to 1 in 10 Saabs/VWs/Audis. It's only happened to 1 of about 17,000 TSXes. Sorry you had to be the one...

I thought that about 1/2 of all Saabs-VWs-Audis-Jaguars-Volvos-BMWs-Mercedes are now imported equipped with the optional "Poltergeist Package".

And somewhat fewer Honda/Acuras-Toyota/Lexi.

I doubt that all 17,000 TSX owners are registered here so it's probably more than 1/17,000.

BTW, have you tried disconnecting the battery? Sometimes that exorcises electrical demons. (If you're a very, very lucky person.)

Junkster, yes, I am upset! I bought the TSX over the Saab 9-3 just to avoid problems like this!!! Reliability was one of the main factors that I bought Acura for... It was funny that during my 9-3 test drive, the computer info center had an error! LOL Anyway, now my TSX is doing the same... sigh...

Bob, thanks for your tip. Unfortunately, I just tried that and disconnected the battery. When it was reconnected, the same problems persisted... thanks though.
