Trunk Tray Rant...

Got the trunk tray yesterday at the dealer, tossed it in the trunk, drove home and put it in.

Fit is near perfect but man the material blows for the price !
I thought it was supposed to be rubber or rubber-like but its thin, flimsy, low-grade plastic like the gallon-milk container.

I put it in the trunk folded so I got a ugly crease across the middle...hope it goes away.
I also think it can get easily punctured or develop a crack or something...

Wow...you must have gotten a cheap "knock-off". I have a trunk tray and it is of high quality and thicker than a milk carton.

hmm, how much you pay for yours? Mine was included with the car. Mine is a rubber like, pretty thick, thicker then milk container, much better material than milk container plastic.

I got at the dealer. it came in a clear platic bag with a Honda label.. Label says it's made in the US.
This dealer sells many items on eBay. Their eBay price on this is $69

>> Mine is a rubber like

Ah..but NOT rubber, like the all-weather mats ?

Items like this are easy money for dealers - like $99 pin stripes (which costs them $5), mudguards, wheel locks, etc. I'm sure the dealer didn't pay more than 1/4 of the selling price. The dealer sometimes throws it in with the car to make a sale.
