Trunk Lid Torsion Bar (Help!)

Cole Notes:
- Acura TSX came with a factory spoiler as part of the 20th Anniversary Edition.
- Got rear ended by an Audi Q5 (100% her fault)
- Had my entire rear replaced
- Got my car back and the trunk lid feels very heavy and does not have and damping lift
- There is a clicking noise from the two torsion bars in contact

What is wrong??????

Is there supposed to be a heavy duty OEM torsion bar from cars with a factory spoiler? What is the part number?

The car repair shop doesn't seem to want to help me on this and told me to do my own investigation. They also told me to buy my own parts and they'll reopen the case with the insurance company once I have it figured out.

That's bullshit.. you paid the to do a job. If they're not willing to do it properly, find a new shop and report it to your insurance that they are unwilling to help

The rods are out of position. The top rod goes on the bottom.

Would this make a difference in dampening the trunk?

Yes, it should eliminate the clicking noise and return it to pre-accident condition.

Also torsion bars are side specific, green goes on the right side.

Anyone familiar with ICBC claims?
I think this repair shop rushed fixing my car because just from visually I noticed a lot of deficiencies. I am worried that they didn't put stuff back together properly on the inside where it is not possible to visually inspect.

A few things I noticed as a non technical person:
- car battery terminal cables were loose
- car battery cover placed reversed
- car was not cleaned properly prior to return
- car tint is scratched
- loose wiring in rear tail light.. can hear something is moving inside
- trunk lid is heavy... Incorrect torsion bar?
- torsion bars not installed correctly

These are just things I noticed... Who knows what else there are?

What's the best approach without trying to make the repair shop look bad??

Correction - Torsion bar color on the right side is red color not green.

Report the Shop to the BBB and your insurance company.
