Question trunk lid alignment

Hi guys,

I'm about to pick up my tsx tomorrow. i was visually inspecting the car today, and i think i noticed that the trunk lid was a bit off.
i mean, it looked like the gap on the right side seems a little bigger than the left. but only just barely visible... you'd have to scrutinize it like i did.

anyone with similar experience? is this really a problem to care about? something fixable?

i put a desposit on the car only, so i'm not obligated to buy it yet. your thoughts appreciated... i am dying to take home the car though. *sigh*

it may seem trivial, but it could cause a leak in the trunk. that would suck. maybe take a look from the inside with the seats down and see if you can see any light shining through from the outside.

Definitely take some more time to look at it, you don't want your new car to be all wet inside. If I were you, I would definitely ask the Acura for different car. It could be worth the wait

I wouldn't worry about it too much, but do mention it to the dealer. I had a similar mis-alignment on my hood (when closed, one side was about 2 mm lower than the other, if you really looked you could see the difference in the gap) and the service dept fixed it during a regular service visit. It's probably an easy fix.

awesome. thanks for your responses all.

majormojo : your description is pretty much exactly on the mark. one side seems slightly lower. if that's something they can easily fix, that'd be excellent! very comforting thought.

Creaminz & oo7bondgrrl : i'll check it out from the interior of the trunk today when i go back. hopefully they've fixed it by then.
