like the TL-S, but i don't like buying a car that the bodystyle will soon be outdated, regardless of price. this is my opinion, but i like driving something new with a newer bodystyle.

I find that both the 2nd gen and 3rd gen TLs and the 1st gen TSX have rather timeless, classic looks about them. Sure they won't be as "new" as some of the other designs, but neither do they end up looking dated very quickly.

I have to agree with that....the 3G TL has a near timeless grace about it. Due to the redesign of the car, I felt it was a good move (my TSX had 93.5K) and I felt like I got a really great deal on it

I almost bit the bullet for a TL-S last year, but then I thought I "owed" it to myself to see what the next gen Acuras looked like, as well as what other competitors were going to be releasing...

It's friggin' easier said then done!

well hope they'll be timeless cause i'm not looking at getting rid of my 1st gen TSX anytime soon until it hits 100K miles or higher. I have almost 57K in her right now.

Sweet, another one. Yea, it was a no brainer when the sticker on the 09 TSX in the show room was 32k and I paid 33.6k. Congrats!!

The price on the window sticker was 38 something, but with dealership add on's. Leather treatment, etc. it was 41 something. They offer it up a 32.2k but OTD was closer to 33.7k. Hope this clears things up a bit.

oh now that fully explains things, good deal! i wonder then i wish they had 08 TL-S's just barebones with no dealership add-ons and i wonder how much that would go for, hmm maybe $28K OTD? i think still i'm going to wait and see if my 04 TSX can make it to 100K w/o any problems and my warranty is also expired.

oh i forgot to all the former TSX owners who have the TL-S now, are there any rattles and difference in build quality from a Japanese made TSX to an Ohio made TL?

they're already getting the car for practically invoice... sure, there's still a holdback there, but $28k?

that's all a myth. i call it japanese import snobbery. process controls are put in place at the us based factories just as they are enforced overseas. if we're talking about domestic BRANDS versus japanese BRANDS --- that's another discussion altogether. i'll debate it w/ anybody here.

my cousin own a '04 tl w/ >100k on it... my dad owns a '07 tl-s... neither have had more or less rattles, creaks, noises, etc. than my japanese assembled '05 tsx.

quality feels the same to me on both cars except the leather in my type-S is somewhat better (thicker & a little more plush)
both TSX & TL are solid cars

Congrats on joining the dark side

Haha, hope you enjoy it! I love new cars, but I honestly will probably have my TSX until it has at least 200K on it. Unless I get some kick ass job out of college, but I'm not in a hurry because I love my baby.

I had lots of rattles in my TSX, and plenty of probs too... Had to have the whole bottom rebuilt (thank you Certified Acura Warranty), and they told me I had a slightly bent axle...so I just took the opportunity to upgrade.

I will have a great job coming out too (thank you 3 undrergrad majors), So i'm looking forward to a long lasting relationship with the TL-S
