Traded G35 Coupe for 05 CG/6MT

Traded in my 2004 G35 5AT for an 05 CG/6MT/Non-Navi tonight. I wanted artic blue pearl with or without navi but getting one would have been at least a 4 week wait and I wanted to take advantage of the 2.9% finance rate before it expired. This car was and the G35 were the only 2 cars on my list and I chose the G. I got the base G35 with cloth and decided the engine was worth the difference in price and went the the HP! Well priorities change, got a good rate, lowered my payments and insurance, and I get better mileage.

Thanks to everyone on the board for the all of the info.

Thanks to JWB998 for the info on the local dealers.

FYI, got the car for $26k with trunk mat, mud flaps, and wheel locks.

Congrats!
I traded in my S2000 for a TSX which will arrive soon--as you say, priorities change.
Good luck!

How much did your insurance drop between the two?

For my area, with a new address from my previous car, it dropped about $50 with the same coverage for 6 months but I upped the liability so it's about a $35 drop. Doesn't sound like much but thats $70 a year which is a months cable bill!

Going to finish reading the manual!

Everyone have a safe and happy new year!

Where did you end up buying it from? I was just at Regal tonight. They told me there is a CG/ebony 6mt with navi in Miami that they may be able to get tomorrow! If not they may be able to get me a SSM/quartz 6mt with navi. The Quartz interior I didn't want at first, but now I really like it. I am hoping to take advantage of the 2.9% myself. Anyway, congrats!

You guys are going from one of the worlds best V6 engines to a somewhat underpowered four cyl. Doesn't that bother you a tad?

I got it from Ferman. They matched the quote from Regal with a little bit of persuasion and gave me the "they're losing money on this deal but it's the end of the year/month" line.

If they had a 6MT with navi I might have bought it, it's pretty cool but in the end I couldn't justify the need since I only drive 8 miles to work one way and put 9000 miles a year on my last car. The salesperson gave me a quick demo of the navi and that is one slick setup!

I will say, the weather today in Tampa/Clearwater was nice and the black interior heats up quick...good thing the AC works great. Keep us up to date on your decision and good luck!!!

OMG...... i can't believe you did that.........hahaha

I would give anything for a G35 coupe right now.....or maybe a S2000....

But.... the TSX do have an advantage over the two.....its more comfortable for the ladies

Your windows aren't tinted yet, right? That should help to keep down the temp in the interior. That is one of my problems with the black interior in Florida.
