Trade Your '04 For an '05?

So am I crazy that I want to trade in my '04 TSX for an '05 when they arrive? I didn't get NAV with the '04 which I did regret after I took it home. I also like how the '05 will have XM standard.

You'll take a pretty big loss if you do. However, it's your money and if you really want those options, then sure, why not?

Unless you can find a private buyer willing to pay what you owe on your 04 or get the dealership to do a straight trade with no negativity equity on your 04, it might be worth it. If not, I think you would be crazy to switch cars only to get XM and Nav. It's your call though...

According to Kelly Blue Book, I shouldn't have any negative equity, which is why I am thinking about it.

Blue Book is one thing but finding someone (private or dealer) to pay the Blue Book price is another. If you can do it, why not.

I am foolishly thinking the same thing, I want the same car but with navi, heated mirrors, power pass. seat and lighted steering wheel controls. And now that you mention it I really like the XM radio on my accord! I put 11k down on the tsx so if I can find a buyer it may sound like a good idea in spring! lol the craziness.

I suspect in the a.m. I will realize this is a bad idea

2 mode automatic with Sportshift, ESP, Power this and Power that etc., etc.
4 years free maintanence and crap like that.

If I were you guys, I'd seek and aftermarket XM solutio (which is really easy to do in the TSX without Navi), buy an aftermarket Nav system, and live without the rest of the features. All of that will cost less than your car depreciated in the first six months you had it.

Exactly...I'd wait till they boosted the power before making the change.

the four year 50k maintanence shit is full of shit. you only go in at 15k, 30k and 45k, oil changes? only within these three intervels. all on your own .. and watch out for long term cost for repairs. and these cars cant sell because no one wants them and 2005 is the last year model for this bodystyle. and 2006 will be out Mar 2005.. body style is too old. and that 31k out the door is good but most likely is leatherattte ( fake leather ) and no other options.. remember in bmw all stuff is option. if u dress up same equipment with tsx, the bmw msrp is 38-40k. xeon hid head lights for bmw 325 is 700 bucks.. fold down rear seats are option, moon roof , 17 inch wheels, crusie ctl, real leather 1500 option.. etc.

minor service at 15k is 230 buckss,. interminate sve is 450 and major sve is 600+
good luck with your cash.
