Took Delivery Last Night

I am the proud owner of a 2004 CG/Ebony Navi 6spd with a build date of 09/04. This thing just showed up at an out of state dealership 4 days ago, and luckily my local dealer located it for me. My 2 local dealers would not give me more than 20K for my 350Z, nor would they come down off the MSRP more than $1500.00. No matter how badly I tried giving them my business, they just kept blowing me off, so I politely told them what they could do with their numbers, jumped in my Z, called the out of state dealer (250 miles away), gave the sales manager a price, we haggled a bit, and 4 hours later I was in front of him signing the papers. It was surreal how easy it was dealing strictly with the manager. We literally agreed on a price in less than 4 minutes. I nearly had a meltdown though because when I got there he tried adding on $300.00 more to the price we had agreed to earlier, saying that he could not get what he thought he could out of my Z. I sympathised, but reminded him that coming to an agreement over the phone was as good as a handshake in my book, and the fact that I drove 250 miles as a result of that handshake was the reason he was not to mess with the price. In the end he saw it my way, but I was very close to doing some very bad things. It worked out in the end. I guess your can't blame him for trying to make a buck.

Anyways, final price was $26,600 including destination, sales tax, all season mats, trunk tray, and wheel locks. I drove off the lot with less than 4 miles on the car.

I have owned 3 other Acuras, and one Honda, and I still marvel at the build quality. I spent 30 minutes tonight in my garage just absorbing how beautifully built this car is. The fit, finish, smell, everything. Could not be happier.

Sweet. I actually just purchased my 04 Silver Metallic 6MT ebony interior but did not want the navigation. I paid $25,200 plus TTL. I also had to drive to Austin, about 100 miles to get cuz the only Acura dealer here was like at $27,999. Now if I could only sell my 2000 V6 coupe the world would be perfect but the car drives like a dream.

Congrats.

Congrats man....enjoy the new car! Nice color choices.....:-) Also, glad you stood your ground with the price! I did not drive as far as you to get my car...but I did not deal with the closest Acura Dealer (Frankel)......I got my better deal 40miles away in Annapolis (Criswell)...anyways...enjoy! I know how you are feeling...I spent some nights staring at mine in the garage...

26600? Nice! 300 less than I got mine for and I got less options. I paid 26900 including wheel locks and splash guards.

I just bought a TSX last week. I got a 5 AT Silver/Quartz w/ Wheel locks, Trunk Tray, Splash Gaurds, Floor Mats for 24650 (25187 with Taxes, title, etc). I think I got a pretty good deal!! Love the car, upgraded from a 1999 Camry LE.

Insurance guy...PM sent!!

I am in the same boat as you were. 27,9 for a non Navi TSX?? What are they smoking here.??!!
Lets compare fair market value. In austin, people get paid MUCH more than here for the most part yet the dealer here is asking for a price on a non-Navi that is even too high for a Navi TSX.

One simple price?? More like one simple rip-off!!

People here must be real gullible. The TSX is a great car but not worth anything more than 500 over invoice for what it is IMO.

Congrats on your new TSX. Good job with the negotiations too. Just goes to show if you're willing to travel you will find a dealer that will meet your price (within reason of course). Enjoy your new ride.

I'd change the stock tires if your planning to drive in snow.
