Tire debris hit underbody

Tire debris hit underbody
Hello -
While going on a highway tire peice (almost half / 3/4 of the whole tire) was lying on a lane and hit underbody. Couldn't change lane as the lanes are packed but to dirve over it. Tried slowing down may be to 50 mph.
Not sure how the underbody would take a force like that. When I check under the body after I stopped, noticed a wire hanging under the body.. (not much a little one.)
This is weekend and can't take to dealer until tuesday. Any idea if there would be any damage and if I can clain insurance if anything serious.

No, the check engine light didn't come up. Planning on taking to firestone service center today and get it checked, as the dealer won't be open till tuesday.
