My dealer wouldn't install tint since it's not an authorized Acura accessory (not covered under factory warranty when authorized accessories are) but was willing to refer me to a local tint shop. Don't know if that applies to all dealerships.

I asked my salesman about it and they said that all Acura does (at least at their dealership) is take the car to a shop down the road who does the tinting for them.
Rather than drop it off at Acura who would then have someone ferry the car over to the tint shop, I just made the apppointment with the shop myself. Stopped in and two hours later I had tints on sides and back.
This is one of those specialty areas that the dealers don't bother paying to keep someone on staff to do the tinting but rely on a third party to do so. I would imagine that you'll find that to be the case most times.
Given the "service reputation" of most Acura dealers, I'm sure they would set up the same accomodation for you then next time you drop by for service (if you're comfortable with those type of arrangements).
