Tint & Auto Dim Rear View - any pics?
Hey guys/gals ...
I'm getting my tint done this weekend (for some reason feeling a litttle aprehensive now)
Would it look good? Would my car lose it's luxury look and feel? Would it be too dark at night? Would there be any effect on the auto-dimming feature of the rear view mirror, when tint is applied? Are alot of you pleased with the look of the car post tiniting? (aside from the scratching issue) ... I'm going to have 35% on the doors and 20% on the rear glass (all high performance).
Also, if anyone can provide pics of tint on an IBP it would be great. I already saw Majormojo's pics, but I'd really like to see it from the rear also.
Thanks alot for the reassurement.

It will be dark at night but whether it will be too dark is purely subjective. I'd just go for 35% all around myself. The auto dim mirror has a photo sensor facing the rear window so if it is too dark it won't dim, which is fine because if it dimmed you wouldn't be able to see anything.

True, I know I'm a bit impatient. I forget some people are actually trying to work, while I'm avoiding it
Anyway, I kinda like when my mirrir dims. The green glow and all. That may be geeky, but it's reason enough for me to go 35% all the way around

Please pardon my ignorance on window tint, what's a "high performance" tint?

to be honest ... I'm quoting all of the tiniting threads in the forum.
Apparently High Performance does not fade to purple, is generally (minor) scratch resistant and just has an all round better look. Not to mention all of the other increased UV #'s etc.
