To those who question the service life of Havoline 5w-30
Take a look at this one: ![EEK!](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Setup: 04 Silverado 5.3L V-8, Oil has 12,650 miles. No make-up oil or filter changes, no oil or fuel adds. Truck has 18,000 miles, oil was previously changed at 4000 before this fill went in at the 6000 mark. GM Oil Life System indicated for a change at 12,500, the maximum allowable interval. Oil was in use for 13 months, with lots of Redline in the Cold Ohio Winter during the short 8 mile, one way daily commute.
Havoline 5w-30 GF-4, Valvoline (Champion Labs) Oil Filter.

I'm very impressed with this $1.50/qt oil, which is why I highly recommend it. Note: I never suggest running conventional for the full 10K as suggested by Honda as the TSX has no oil life monitor device that this particular GM had. Only run the oil this long if the oil life monitor suggests it, or if oil analysis shows that you're able to!
Thus, do not attempt!
With these results, who needs a syn?![Wink](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
