To those who installed their own fog lights

Previous post said Fog light switch/lever install was different than that posted on instruction sheets. How so? How was the upper and lower portions of the the steering colum cover seperated tp gain access to switch/lever? Is there a "trick" involved (push - twist - pinch something else?) Can't see paying a service department that kind of money. Thanx

the level is different because it has a on/off switch that turns to power the fogs. the upper and lower portions of the steering column cover come apart by squeezing the sides of the top portion.

The instructions I used (pdf on hondacuraworld.com) were totally accurate, although perhaps not as detailed as some would prefer.

To remove the cover, adjust the steering wheel so it's fully telescoped, but don't re-lock the adjustment lever. Remove 3 screws from the bottom, then apply pressure to the seam of the cover, where each of the 3 clips per side holding the halves together are located. I don't recall whether the top clips into the bottom or the bottom clips into the top (i.e. which half has female ends) so refer to the diagrams on the instructions. This will help you put pressure on either the top or the bottom while you pry the halves apart. Pry apart gently but firmly. I started with the front left clip (the one closest to the turn signal lever).

I agree with XPLORx4... the pdf from hondacruaworld were great. The steering column cover wasn't the easiest in the world, but if you follow what the directions tell you, it will come off.

Where to get PDF

I went to hondacuraworld.com, but could not find the install PDF.

Can someone send a direct link, or is there a more detailed one some where else?
