Hey guys,

Thinking about purchasing an 06 TSX w/Nav for the wife. Found one thats in great/excellent condition with 39K miles. Test drove it this morning and did the usual inspection and everything looked fine. Anything particular I should be looking out for? TSX specific issues? Should I take it to a mechanic and have them do the compression test, rack to check the brakes, steering, and suspension? He did put new tires and battery. I have an 06 TL myself and love the car. The TSX nav looked more mono-chromish than the Nav for the TL. Is that just something I can adjust? Thanks in advance.

The 06+ are the more solid years for the 1st gen TSX.
The only issues I've encountered are interior squeaks and rattles (moonroof, clutch pedal, steering column).

I recommend anyone to have a trustworthy mechanic check out a potential used car purchase...i mean its a used car, you have no idea what the car has been through the past 4years/39kmiles

I agree with the other posts-get it checked out by a trusted mechanic. While getting the state's annual inspection at the dealer, they replaced the battery free under warranty. They told me it tested low even tho I never had any problems with it. It has a 4 year unlimited mileage warranty. my now 3 year old 06 tsx has almost 98,000 problem free miles-love it.

have 62k on my 06, no problems other then reg. maintenance! as stated above, i do have a bunch of cabin squeaks, but just turn the music up louder. haha. very solid car, but mine used at 21k.
