Test Drove TSX, TL & new Audi A4, Subie Legacy GT on the same day...
Hello all,
Been driving an 95 Integra GS-R and got it because it was so much fun to drive back then. Looking to replace it for the past six months and have been toying around with the TSX, TL, A4, S40 and the Subie GT.
New A4
Nicest interior. Just really well done and much better than the previous generation. The steering wheel controls are top notch and only Mercedes does a better information panel.
Smaller turbo lag than the Subie, but you can still feel it hickup.
More road and engine noise than all the others.
Overall, I thought that the Subie was a better car both in value and in performance.
Subie
Interior was nice but still lagged all the others in my comparo.
Turbo lag was noticeable but it does move once it kicks in.
Still drove like a Subie which is solid and straight
Acura TL
Ok, that V6 kicks you in the pants! You move! But, it's a heavier car and you don't really throw this car around. It reminds of a my old Mustang in that it likes to go straight, fast, now!
The interior was very nice. Love the electro elumincent (sp?) dash. I like the audio controls and how low they were.
I also liked the sunroof controls
Acura TSX
The interior was pretty close the TL (wish the audio and sunroof controls were from the TL). It was almost as big as the TL. I couldn't really tell the difference.
Like others, I wish this car had more ponies, but you can throw this car around! I always left the car SMILING because it was so much fun and in the end that's why I bought it! The dealership had my color (Nighthawk w/ebony/ non-navi, 6MT) on the lot! Where the TL and Subie are fast, the TSX is quick. It's got that racerboy attitude. I can put this car anywhere I want now!
Anyway! Just my two cents...enjoy!
It doesn't have the kick
