Stupid Question: How do I get the XM Radio ID code?
Hey everyone,
I'm new to this and just recently bought a 06 TSX w/ Nav. I have a quick (and probably stupid) question, how do I find the XM Radio ID code so that I can renew my XM service? I found the forum that talked about the $66 promotion and everything, however when I go to turn to station 0 which should display the code, it just puts it back on the preview channel (1).
I looked through the menus on the Nav/Audio and couldn't find anything. I'm sure I'll get about a hundred people who tell me to look through the manuals to find the answer but I figured it would be an easy response for someone who's done it before.
Thanks.

The XM should have 3 or 4 stations available with no subscription. You should be able to roll through them by turning the right knob on the radio. I think one of the channel is the emergency channel. Anyway channel 0 should appear (it did for me). If not 1-800-xm-radio should get it for you.

You should be able to turn the tune knob to channel 0 (zero) to display the XM code. The only other way I know of is to wait until you get your renewal notice from XM before the 3 months are up and it will have the XM code on it.
Once you find your XM code, you can sign up for XM internet to get it at work/home on your PC for free. I even gave my mom the XM UserID/password so she can listen on her PC in Ohio (I’m in New Mexico).

Just to affirm. The only ways to tune to a XM station is either by voice or the very rightmost knob, correct? Yes... I'm a lazy POS and find it tiring reaching over to the knob and surfing through stations... CDs sound better anyhow.
