stupid question about bodykits
Are all body kits put on by some kind of adhesive. Cause i ws reading the VIZAGE site and it says "Double sided tape is already taped on the parts" i dunno how much i would trust double sided tape to hold up a whole kit. Thanx for any responces.

the oem kit has the double-sided tape as well as holes where we bolt/screw onto the body molding of the tsx...i would hope the custom kits out there would have holes as well
best thing is to call vis or any other kit manufacturer up

double sided tape used on bodykits are not everyday tape... obviously...it'll hold for a very long time.
my dad has a denali, basically Yukon XL with trims on the sides. they're all taped on there. no screws, bolts, etc. just tape.

3M makes the tape.
You have to strip the body of all wax and grease first.
You also have to be sure the tape, car, and kit are up to recommended temp.
Lots of guys had issues with the Wings West kits coming off from pour tape adhesion + road salt.
In general most honda kits go overboard on installation.
If you get an OE Honda kit, and install it exactly as the direction say, you should be good.
Wash the area to be taped with dawn dish soap. You then need to get a paint prepping agent that promotes adhesion. Many autobody/paint supply stores sell the stuff. I've had a can of degresser-dewaxer for years for this task.
Be careful once the tape sticks, doing the above-IT IS STUCK!
