Stock TSX sway bar and how can we recycle it?

I just installed my comptech sway bar and I was thinking about what to do with the stock one. Do you guys know if it fits any other hondas we can sell it to? I'm planning on driving my tsx 150,000 + miles so I have no need to keep the stock one to put back in, in case I ever sell it or trade it in for those freaks who want it all stock. But anyhow, I was hoping maybe I can ebay it for like $50. Any other good ideas?

I'm not really sure about the stock sway bar fitting any other honda/acura that doesnt already have one that big. However, I wouldn't mind hearing your impressions of the comptech piece. how did effect the cornering ability of the car? Is the rest of your suspension still stock, or is it modified? Thanks.

I actually broke one of the IPD bars on my Volvo, and at substantially less than 150,000 miles. Fortunately, I still had the factory ones. It was fortunate, because everybody's IPD bars were breaking at about the same time as mine, they had a bad batch of steel it seems, and it took them about a year to get everything sorted out and the broken bars replaced.

So I would put the factory bar in the box the Comptech bar came in and put it on a high, out-of-the-way shelf in my garage.

for $138, it's the single BEST mod you can do for your suspension. I just looked at the stock sway bar today and it's the same measly 14mm sway bar as the old integra LS and GS models. ITR's came with 22mm sway bar stock and so is the one i just installed. When i turn, i feel that my car is more balanced and the front tires don't lose traction as much. THIS IS A MUST HAVE MOD! w00t w00t!

are you saying to keep the stock sway bar in case the comptech one breaks? if that happens, I wouldn't put the stock one back in, I would just buy another aftermarket one. but if anyone else would like to buy an extra stock ones in case your current one breaks, let me know! w00t w00t!

thanks for he reply on how it handles post swaybar install.

fdl... i believe that he was saying that the new swaybar is around 22mm, not that it is the exact ITR rear sway.

thanks again.

no, I meant that the comptech sway bar is 22mm just like the ITR stock one. The integra type R's came with stock 22mm sway bars unlike the 14mm ones our tsx comes with.

How hard is the installation of the bar? Any special tool needed? Where did you order it from? Sorry for the numerous questions.

I'd say a 5 out of 10, its not very hard or tool intensive, but it takes a lot of time because you're under the car.

You need to jack up the car, take off a wheel, use some socket wrenches and an allen wrench.
