Spring Install...Very funny

So anyways im calling around to various places to see how much it would run to get my eibachs installed. I called the acura dealership here in atlanta....$626.97. So I called the acura dealership in birmingham. They put me on hold....got back on the phone and told me that they would not install the springs because that would void the entire warranty on the car. So I asked to talk to the service manager but they said he wasnt in. It makes me laugh that some dealerships are so ignorant to the aftermarket possiblities. It also makes me laugh that this dealership was so ignorant of the Mangum act which states they can only deny warranty claims if said aftermarket part was the cause of the failure.

You almost got it right. Just so there's no confusion on this issue, it's called the Magnussen-Moss Warranty Act.

"But bein' this is a 44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?"

I thought of something else when you said "Magnum Act." I hear lots of congressmen are interested in the Magnum Act these days, lol.

Yes, I really am mentally 12.

It may well be that the Acura franchise agreement prohibits dealers from installing non factory certified parts or products. If I was an Acura dealer I would not install the springs, way too much liability if something went wrong with the replacement springs and an accident ensued.
