You have an automatic right? Perhaps the car just downshifted, I dont see anything wrong with that. Your car was probably just finding the right gear to be in. Grade logic control is supposed to minimize gear hunting, but I guess it's not perfect.

Sounds like grade logic control... but I can only find (on Acura's website) that the TL comes with that. Can anyone confirm that the TSX has grade logic control?

If it IS grade logic control, then it is supposed to work that way to help with engine braking when the car is going downhill.

I know of it...

Hey, the TSX definately has Grade Logic Control. The reason i say that is because the road I take to work everyday has a steep hill at some point, and the car will coast at around 45 - 50 mph, and it doesn't really accelerate very strongly. Thats how I know for sure that it has it.

I also notice when going down a hill and lightly braking, the AT will downshift. At first it's surprised me because I didn't expect it.

Grade logic has been standard on the Accord tranmissions for quite a while now. The TSX does downshift one gear when you are going downhill when you step on the brake the first time after you have been coasting. I think it's documented in the manual but I have to double check.
