Some accessories in place
Hi Folks,
Got the cargo net, trunk mat, and all-weather floor mats put in place. A few minor grumbles:
- Cargo net install. Give a brother a break. What an absolute pain in the butt. I have to admit to being dissapointed on this one. Too much effort for a common accessory, especially having to drill holes in the trunk liner with just useless templates. Not that I'm bitter.
- I wish the all-weather mats better matched the color of the interior. To my eyes the contrast makes them look cheap. Which they're not - very good quality, and they clean up quite easily.
- Speaking of these matts, the driver's one has two holes to mate up with the floor-mounted hooks. Not a chance - the mat is too thick and there's no way to put the hooks through the holes. This leaves a choice - leave the hooks in place and deal with the mat sitting a bit too high in the back, or remove them and hope I remember where the hell I put 'em. I chose the former.
Onto the pics...
More to come. The car's going in tomorrow for the steering wheel & trim kit install (meaning I'll get to scoot around in a loaded RL for a day), and the splash guards just arrived. I'll get them to the shop for paint later this week.

I put the allweather mats in my car. I have to admit getting the driver side mat to fit over the hooks was quite difficult. I actually couldn't do it but my husband managed to. He sort of bent the mat over the hook then somehow worked it on. Keep at it, it's definitely do-able.

I have my all weather mats on top of the regular mats since the day i bought my car, but sometimes I wonder would it be easier to remove the regular mats, so that the all weather mats "hook" better (the reduced thickness)

6MT or Death
I have a 6MT and when the dealer put the all weather mats in he did it over the regular mats and it would cause the clutch to rub against it making a clicking noise. I kept sliding the mat back until I finally used my brain and just removed the regular mat. Once I had just the all weathers there it was perfect.

I'm looking to pick up a set of Husky Liners for the front and rear. I had them on my two previous vehicles, and I find them to be superior, and much cheaper than the Acura all-weathers. As for the Cargo net...I'm going with the Nissan 350Z net as has been discussed. I did, however, go with the Acura Door Visors and Roof Visor, splash gaurds, and trunk liner...

I think the cargo net is awesome. Peeked at the Nissan one, but didn't like the horizontal mount. Other than wishing this one was a bit further back, I love it from a functionality standpoint. I was just disappointed in the installation effort. I seem to recall the one on our old '02 Camry taking about 30 seconds to install, using pre-fabbed fasteners.
I'll take another crack at the driver's mat - thanks for the tips. It does seem to stay in place quite well on its own. Husky Liners are excellent - we went with these because we got a great price and I erroneously assumed they'd better match the color of the interior.
