June 6 is out the window. Not enough people can make it.

June 27 is T-day. (TSX Day)

Okay...one more bump. Please respond, people, if you're interested in going. I will be providing detailed instructions from different areas.

Also, would you guys be interested in a cruise through the local mountains? Because if so, then we can set the location of the meet closer to the drive location to start and end in Redondo Beach where we can hang out.

Thoughts?

That would be nice. The long mountain route would be Angeles Crest Highway. There are variations of that route, like starting or ending just north of Covina. If we take the long route, it may take about 2-3 hours. This is in addition to the drive to the beach. I am interested if anyone else is also.

I think that might be a little too long. I was thinking a quick 30 minute drive around the Palos Verdes Peninsula with some entertaining curves, fantastic scenery, and multimillion dollar homes. Follow that up with lotsa honeys at the beach and I think it makes for a pretty good day.

So are you in for sure, Articcl9?

Hmm... Route 2 (Angel's Crest Hwy) would be cool. Never traveled the whole thing. Palos Verdes is cool too.

The Palos Verde route would be more time effective and cheaper (with gas prices nowadays..) They are all good routes. I haven't tried the palos verde one, so it would be a good one to try, and I'll definitely join. I am planning on going to route 2 sometimes before the meet..hehehe

Count me in for the meet. But I don't think I'll do the cruise because my wife and I are planning to have lunch (fresh seafood) at the pier before meeting up with you guys.

vwong, you might reconsider the cruise. I planned to keep the pace at near posted speed limits and the scenery in the area is quite spectacular so your wife may enjoy it just as much as you.

5 Fwy/56 Fwy Interchange (Carmel Valley Rd) just north of the 5/805 split. Once we get more details perhaps we can meet somewhere and go up. Might be cool.

I was in that area today, picking up some plants for the backyard. I think the name of the store was "Evergreen". Biggest nursery I've ever been to -- probably 20 acres.

Hey lets try and do a San Diego get together so we can all meet each other. I know a great place to have it, if one is interested.

We can try but there are so few of us down here that the turnouts in the past have been really low. Like me and TinkySD being the token SDites in a sea of Orange County and LA people.

Once we know what time the other event is at, we could all meet up informally somewhere and make the 'trek' north.

Yeah lets do that..I was thinking Dave and Busters in Mission Valley, They have a huge parking lot. So either we try and meet down here or drive a little ways up north or we meet in the middle. The reason I suggested Dave and Busters is that we can meet there hang out and then go in a play some games or get some food and drink. Anyways let me know because my wife and I will show. Because we our cars!!!

Hopefully by next weekend there will be more info on the meet. Then we can work something up.

D&B is cool but their lot sometimes gets filled fast. Oh yeah, and don't park on the freeway side of the lot either (near the 8) - thats where the cyclist ran the guard rail and ran into the side of D&Bs. Alas, he did not survive. Helmets are only so good. :'(

I do like the idea of D&Bs though. We'll work something up.

Anyone have a house with access to outside water?

We could meet up there and wash our cars before we head up.

I used to have a place but had to move from Vista further South.
