So - What was Your First Car?

1989 Honda Civic DX HB Automatic
been in the family for about 16 years . . . my parents passed it down to me when I was 18 . . . but they got rid of it once I got the TSX . . . sure it was kinda crappy . . . no clock, no ac, fan blew hot air, the wipers actually made the windshield more dirty, the headlights weren't too bright(couldn't even tell if they were on sometimes), sluggish acceleration, during my usage it would leak oil or coolant from somewhere(different places and each time got repaired), and it wasn't really much to look at, but that thing somehow managed to survive all the abuse I put that thing through plus one accident . . . this is partially why when I got a replacement for it I stayed Honda . . .

Started off with a 1994 Mercury Sable station wagon my parents gave me in HS. That thing was a beast for sure, but after parallel parking it every morning in HS i think i can park anything in any spot =P.
It had a lot of memories from all the fam trips and it was great to fit 7 ppl in it with the rear facing seat in the trunk. best memory was taking it on a trip to LA with my friend. the speedometer only went to 85 and half the trip the needle was off the dial.

^ True. Most of our parents afford it. However some of us have to work ourselves to pay off the payments.

That was my first car too, my folks handed it down to me when I turned 16!!!
Mine was an LX-i too, but I had an auto. They need to bring back the flip-up headlights on the Honda/Acuras.

As for me, the TSX is the first vehicle that I've ever had that I would consider as "luxury" or "upscale" (ie - leather seats, bluetooth, satellite radio, power memory seat, etc) -- and I'm 53 years old. So, it's taken me awhile to reach this level.
I'll start this off -- The first vehicle I ever owned was a 1975 Chevy Vega (Ugh!). It cost $2636 brand new (without TTL) - and that's not a typo. It wasn't worth even that much. LOL. It lasted about 2 years, when I got lucky enough to find someone to take it off my hands.
So - what about you guys?

First car was an '87 integra by the way. Bought it in '93 for $5600. Lived in Manhattan for 5 years so I had no car, then I owned a shitty Volvo for a couple years, then a Liberty Limited for 3 years, and now a '06 TSX. I've come full circle.

First car was a 1988 Chevy Beretta with Limo Tint and two 12s in the back. So much bass that you couldn't even hear the highs

I have to go up a huge hill when I turn out of my neighborhood every morning. Some days in my Neon I felt like I could walk faster up that hill. Now I can pass people going up the hill!

It was purchased new as the family car then "handed down" to me from my parents when i graduated in '98 with 180k
Then I replaced the motor and now it's got 294k same tranny
Still got it too! I just can't sell it, ILoveMyHonda's too much!

DRINKING HAS A ME PROBLEM
75' Monte Carlo. 350CI turbo 350 tranny. i had to get rid of it by fear that jets might mistake me as a Aircraft Carrier.
then it was a 89 accord LXI 205k miles. then i handed it down to my sister and she drove it into 2 parked cars. poor thing
