And most of those 10 things are just checking things. Most of the maintenance is oil change, rotate tires, general stuff. Why pay the dealership to do them? Maintenance is easy........

I hope that you guys also adjusted the parking brake. It should take 6-7 clicks to be fully locked.

I have a question:

If I do my own maintenance and don't keep any receipts(I have a bad habbit of losing them), will the dealer ever give me trouble when I bring the car in for warranty issues?

I would say they probably would. They wouldn't have a way to check that your maintenance was done.

I believe your tires could be suffering from not being rotated.

I wonder if they'd give you a hard time if you logged them on the website, but didn't have the receipts.

I'm not really sure, as I've never tried it. I have kept all my receipts & service records, as well as recorded them in ownerlink. I'm not taking any chances.

I'm going to say yes they will give you trouble since you don't have any proof what so ever that you did anything.

you can sell your car as brand new one!! 1,000,000 miles = 0 miles on the 6 digit odometer!

i try to keep the receipts from the oil, but i've lost one or 2. I do have the Honda part sticker from every oil filter in my little book, plus i enter it all in ownerlink.

I've had my car serviced at the dealer 3 times and they've yet to even touch my book.

A lot of those scheduled updates have a lot of fluff in them. I never did them on my first TSX and it ran fine.
