Slotted/Drilled Rotor Sounds

I just replaced my front warped rotors with EBC Sports Rotors and matched them with new OEM pads. I know...i bought the pads 2 yrs ago thinking the vibrations were coming from uneven pad wear but it was the warped rotor causing it so I'm stuck with them.

When I'm driving, it sounds like the pad wear indicators are rubbing against the rotor (while moving and the sound gets louder when I apply brake pressure). I checked the clearance and everything seems fine. I know its not the pads because they are new. Just wondering if this sound is caused by the pads passing over the slots/dimples on the rotor or if I should take the wheels off and have another look.

Hopefully I'm not an idiot and put the rotors on the wrong side. They were not labeled L or R so I took an educated guess.

I have the rotor below installed on the passenger side. Are the slots supposed to go the other direction?

Yes they are direction. The one facing up in the picture is for passenger side.As for the noise, you should take a really good look.It shouldn't make any noise like that.

I just took off the rotor and apparently they are on the correct way. There is a L and R imprinnted on the rotor. I also checked EBCs webpage and they state that the dimples are supposed to sweep to the back.

I'll take Lito's advice and check the pad retainers.
