Silly move during/after oil change

So I change the oil...very little spill due to removing pass. front tyre to access oil filter. Finished, tyre back on, oil filled, engine run with no leaks, locking lug nut key back in trunk...

You guessed it, forgot to torque the lug nuts . They were just hand tight!

Driving in to work today, start to get a little "wonka, wonka" sound. Radio on or off, can just perceive it, not really hear it... a slight vibration in the steering wheel...nothing to hear with the windows open! So I mull it over as I'm driving, changing speeds, trying to figure it out. Then it hits me, CRAP!

So I pull over and haul the wrench/key outta the trunk and tighten the lug nuts...they are all "loose" to my hand....DAMN! Later I jack and remove the wheel. No sign of hub/stud damage and the rim mounting holes have not been damaged either. My concern is if I should replace the wheel mounting studs? Any thoughts?

This was a lucky escape...

don't take shortcuts - definately tighten the lugs using a wrench each time instead of doing it by with your fingers. the time that you would have saved is just not worth it.

My only comment to this is the fact you do NOT have to remove the tire to access the oil filter. Just turn the wheel all the way to the right.

No short cuts taken...I hand tighten the nuts, rattle the wheel and retighten to best extent...drop jack to minimal contact of tyre with ground and torque once...drop jack completely and re-torque!

The removal of the tyre is needed to use the spash guard I have from my wife's ex-CR-V. It works great, but isn't designed for the space so i need a clear shot to get it in there just right.

Still looking for opinions on risk of having stretched/damaged the studs...

You're probably OK but to make sure take the wheel off and run a lug nut all the
way down each of the stud threads to see if there is any deformation or other damage.
