i watched that asian salesman dude's little pitch from youtube or whatever (anyone seen it?) and when he unlocked the TSX with the keyfob, the side mirror lights also illuminated. i know that mine don't, so is that normal? i think the guy's name was something sato from some acura dealer.

That would be Colin Sato, who is a member here. He's a sales rep for the Acura dealer in Hawaii.

And I don't recall ever seeing my mirrors light up when I unlock the car. Should only be the parking lights, which the mirrors are a not a part of.

I checked last night. The 06 TSX's side mirror lights don't flash

I just checked this minute and my '06 does not flash.

I think it's safe to say they won't flash on North American market cars because the lights that come on when locking and unlocking are the parking lights, not the hazards. The turn signals in the mirrors are not wired in with the parking lights.

Maybe in other markets, the flashing lights that indicate locking/unlocking are the hazards and not the parking lights, like on USDM Toyotas.

Yeah, the side mirror lights only turn on when your turn signal/hazards are on, and the factory alarm only uses the parking lights (On both of my accords, there are two bulbs at the corner lamps, but one is for the parking lights, and the other is dedicated for turn signals

I just looked it over again. It was a cut scene, so maybe he just added that little tidbit by using the hazards?

i guess.....but why would he use it there? why wouldn't he show it while he was driving it and turning on his blinker?
