side airbag off sign

Hi, that "side airbag off" signal light has appeared again for a brief 5 minutes when it's raining. I remember the signed showed another time a few weeks back too without any reason. Anyone experienced this too?

Was there a passenger? If they move to the sides, it could turn the system off.

Im sure you know the difference, but are you sure it wasn't your VSA light? I dont see how rain would relate to the passenger airbag

It's not the VSA light. But it's weird that when I locked and unlocked the door, the side airbag light would go off for a few seconds, and go on again, and eventually would be off after a few minutes. Yea when it happened, there is a person on the passenger side, but not leaning.

If that passenger was lightwieght, depending on his/her position on the seat, it could be perfectly normal. It's actually a security disposition.

The only time I've seen it come on is when a friend leans out the window for the atm machine.
